With a globally distributed engineering team, we now need a delivery-obsessed technology leader to turn big ideas into live product at pace.Role Purpose / MissionOwn and supercharge our build-and-ship engine, people, process and platform, so Pulsate delivers high-quality features on a predictable, rapid cadence for US clients. Your north star: transform innovative concepts and AI-enabled capabilities into production software customers love, faster than the market moves.Key ResponsibilitiesChampion the transformative use of AI to help customers unlock growth through Pulsate, ensuring every roadmap decision and sprint embraces AI-driven value.Design and execute a 12-18 month engineering roadmap that halves cycle-time and doubles deployment frequency.Lead, coach and grow a distributed team of ~14 engineers, QA and DevOps in Europe and Asia; closing key talent gaps quickly.Embed AI-driven productivity tools (code-gen, test-bots, intelligent monitoring) into the SDLC and measure impact.Deliver banking-grade APIs and SDKs with p95 < 1s latency and >99.9% uptime, compliant with PCI DSS, SOC 2 and GDPR.Partner with Product Design to launch MVPs in weeks then iterate quickly based on real-user data.Publish and track objective engineering KPIs—cycle-time, deployment frequency, change-fail rate, MTTR, visible company-wide.Own engineering budget and vendor choices; optimise cloud spend through FinOps best practice.Act as technical ambassador with US prospects and clients, translating architecture into business value.Success Metrics – First 12 MonthsMedian commit-to-prod cycle-time ≤ 7 days; weekly releases become the norm.At least 10 customer-visible, banking-grade features shipped, achieving high adoption rates and demonstrably enhancing user engagement and satisfaction, including 30% uplift in MAU..Deployment failure rate Infrastructure cost per active user down 15% via AI-enabled efficiency gains.Team eNPS ≥ 50 with clear career paths and < 5% regrettable attrition.Required Experience SkillsMust-haveTech leadership success in venture-backed start-up or scale-up where you dramatically accelerated delivery velocity.Proven record shipping fintech / digital-banking technology or high-volume martech / ecommerce platforms.Hands-on expertise integrating AI tools to boost developer productivity and having built AI or AI-enabled products yourself.Deep knowledge of cloud-native, event-driven architectures, CI/CD and DevSecOps.Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for executive, commercial, and non-technical stakeholders, aligning engineering decisions with business strategy.Demonstrated ability to set engineering OKRs, surface live dashboards and hold teams accountable.Inclusive leadership across remote, multi-time-zone teams; stellar hiring and coaching track record.Proven ability to inspire and elevate team performance, setting high standards for delivery and quality in a distributed environment.Nice-to-haveDomain knowledge in banking technology/fintech for banks and or credit unions.Public thought leadership:conference talks, OSS contributions or technical blogs.Cultural Leadership TraitsDelivery-obsessed │ Bias to action │ Transparent, data-driven decision-maker │ Builder-mentor mindset │ Champions diversity psychological safety │ Celebrates wins loud, learns from misses fast.Reporting Line Team StructureReports to the CEOLocation / Ways of WorkingRemote Ireland.
