Intellectual Property/Patent Associate

Firm seeks an associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic national Intellectual Property group practice as an IP Litigation attorney. An undergraduate degree or an advanced degree in a technological or scientific field is preferred but not required.The ideal candidate would have experience, or a strong interest in developing experience, in representing clients in all stages of patent, trademark, trade secrets, and other intellectual property litigation. Examples of relevant experience include:Early case assessment and investigations, including accused products and prior art analysisDrafting invalidity and infringement claim charts and assisting with contentionsDrafting pleadings and motions, including handling related meet-and-confersPreparing and responding to written discovery and working with e-discovery tools and vendorsManaging complex discovery and discovery negotiationsPreparing claim construction briefs and hearing materialsWorking with experts on reports and testimonyPreparing deposition outlines and exhibitsThe candidate must have a very strong academic record as well as outstanding organizational, communication and writing skills.
