Project complexity may be caused by extensive scope, interdisciplinary involvement, short timeframes, large project teams, a challenging client environment, a cutting-edge technology environment, high- availability and system performance requirements, multi-geographic team distribution, or all of the above. The Program Manager drives successful project completion by coaching, consulting, managing and resolving issues, allocating resources, and maintaining team productivity and morale in high-pressure situations. Leads and mentors other team leads and project managers. Initiates, supports and participates in negotiations with prospective customers. Plans, directs and coordinates systems analysis and programming activities. The Program Manager provides guidance in strategic systems planning to project teams.
