Deputy Program Manager

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Deputy Program Manager. The selected candidate will support the Program Manager in the planning, execution, and tracking of complex Sensor Beam programs involving advanced sensor technologies, multi discipline engineering, rapid prototyping efforts, and integrated system development. This role is critical to ensure engineering performance, quality, schedule, and technical risks are effectively managed across multiple technology domains including, but not limited to, Radar, EO/IR, Communications, Platform systems, Missiles, Air Defense Artillery (ADA), and Technical Library efforts supporting electronic warfare community databases.The Deputy Program Manager will assist in overseeing multiple concurrent task orders executed within a fiscal year. Responsibilities include coordinating technical teams, monitoring program performance, and preparing and delivering programmatic reports, briefings, and updates to both internal leadership and external customers.What You'll DoThe Deputy Program Manager provides direct support to the Program Manager and helps drive successful execution of all Sensor Beam program activities. Key responsibilities include:Supporting the Program Manager by performing delegated duties, guiding Managers and Supervisors, and helping ensure all Sensor Beam contract delivery requirements are achievedLeading smaller programs and assisting in the management of multiple active task orders, including oversight of schedules, risks, action items, and performance against cost, schedule, and staffing objectivesWorking closely with cross functional department Managers, Supervisors, engineering teams, and support staff to maintain coordinated, effective program executionDeveloping, maintaining, and managing program schedules, budgets, and cost tracking using Staffer and Tempus to ensure accurate and compliant program reportingPreparing program status reports, technical documents, and other required artifacts to support internal leadership, external customers, and contractual documentation requirementsLeading internal and external customer reviews and participating in in person and virtual meetings to present program status, risks, and technical updatesSupporting proposal planning and execution, ensuring alignment with established program processes, compliance requirements, and quality standardsApplying professional program management capabilities, including organizational management, risk awareness, and business intelligence—to ensure efficient, compliant, and mission focused program operationsWhat You'll BringBachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, business administration, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, including 6+ years in program management or 4+ years in supervisor/technical lead roles with proposal and customer facing experience OR Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, business administration, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experienceAn active Secret clearance is required Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ProjectProven team player with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and a positive, solutions-oriented attitudeAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentProfessional customer communication skills with a strong customer advocacy mindsetHigh attention to detail and documentation accuracy; self-motivated with strong analytical curiosity and determination to solve problemsEagerness to learn and understand supporting processes that feed into or depend on program operationsStrong time management and prioritization abilities; The anticipated salary range for this position based out of San Antonio, TX is estimated at $129,000 to $168,000 annually.
