This hands-on, execution-focused role is ideal for someone who enjoys recruiting, managing multiple priorities, maintaining operational accuracy, and ensuring payroll inputs are prepared correctly and on time.The role plays a critical part in keeping hiring pipelines moving, employee data organized, and payroll documentation audit-ready. It also includes light accounting support, such as reviewing daily data checks for accuracy to ensure payroll and operational records are correct. This position works closely with the HR Manager to execute established processes, support employee onboarding, and maintain smooth workforce operations across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting and StaffingManage job postings, screen resumes, and conduct initial virtual candidate screeningsPresent qualified candidates to hiring managers following the recruitment processCoordinate interview scheduling with hiring managersCoordinate assessments and conduct reference checksMaintain accurate candidate records and timely communicationMaintain candidate tracking and provide pipelines updates to the HR ManagerSupport offer letters and background check for new hiresOnboarding and OffboardingAdminister onboarding for new employees, including new hire packets, onboarding sessions, and introduction communicationsEnsure all required documentation is completed accurately and on timeSupport offboarding processes to ensure smooth employee transitionsBenefit Administration SupportSupport administration of employee benefits programs, including new hire enrollment, changes and open enrollment coordinationPolicies, Procedures and ComplianceMaintain HR documents, including employee handbooks, policies, procedures and SOPsSupport compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulationsHR OperationsMaintain employee records and HR systemsTrack and manage PTO and time & attendance issues, including missed punches, and correctionsRespond to routine employee HR questionsSupport compliance documentation and auditsEscalate sensitive or complex issues appropriatelyPayroll Preparation & Light Accounting SupportCollect, organize and prepare payroll data (hours, pay rates, overtime, revenue-sharing inputs) for HR Manager and accounting reviewReview daily data for completeness and flag discrepancies for review (timesheets, scorecards, etc.)Employee RelationsServe as a point of contact for routine employee questions regarding HR policies and proceduresSupport internal communications and coordinate employee engagement activities as directed and approved by the HR ManagerCoordinate employee events and recognition initiatives, including monthly lunches, bi-annual employee gatherings, and annual employee milestones (e.g. birthdays and work anniversaries)Qualifications3–5 years experience in HR coordination, recruiting, and payroll preparationExperience recruiting hourly or operational roles is requiredExperience preparing payroll inputsComfortable working with ATS and payroll systemsStrong attention to detail and numerical accuracyExcellent organization, prioritization and follow-up skillsClear, professional communicator able to manage multiple prioritiesSkillsProficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet, Drive)Ability to handle confidential information with discretionKnowledge of HR best practicesKnowledge of payroll processing (a plus)Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesScheduleFull-time position, 40 hours per weekIn-office role, Monday through FridayCore working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PMClassification: Full-time, hourly, non-exemptOccasional additional hours may be required during peak recruiting or payroll periodsCompensation & BenefitsHourly rate: $25 per hourEligible for overtime in accordance with applicable wage and hour lawsPaid Time Off in accordance with company policyEligible to participate in the company 401(k) plan, subject to plan termsBenefits eligibility per company guidelines
