Validation Engineer

The Reality Labs team seeks an AMS Silicon Validation Engineer.As a Silicon System Validation Engineer, you will be part of the RL Silicon Validation team validating high performance silicon and leading the effort to ensure high-quality silicon delivery.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for SoC and E2E system validation plan development, and executionDevelop FW tooling for debug and validationUnderstand system HW/SW/FW component as a whole and do test execution and debuggingPower and performance characterization on pre-silicon platforms and post-silicon validation boardsCreate diagnostic and validation tools to test firmware functionality, performance, and reliabilityAble to work in an agile environment, changing roadmaps and be able to adapt validation plans based on changes.Skills:Hands-on experience in bring-up and validation of complex SoCs. 3+ years of embedded systems or firmware development experienceExperience in scripting language like python preferred, ability to read and debug FW/ baremetal code in C, high level of proficiency in C (preferred)Familiarity with firmware testing frameworks and automation, proficiency with JTAG debuggersBasic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues[Preferred] Knowledge and experience in pre-silicon validation platforms (i.e., FPGA and emulation).[Preferred] Proficient in lab instruments such as Oscilloscope, analyzers,Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or relevant field with minimum 3 years of industry experience.
