Tractor Operator
Tractor Operator is responsible for transporting trailers to trailer yards after manufacturing is completed.
Tractor Operator Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently maneuver the Tractor
Daily move trailers and materials as needed within the plan
Daily safety inspections
Communicating with personnel
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Tractor operating experience is required
Tractor operating experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Ability to pull a trailer
Ability to uphold safety practices through the shift
Must pass a tractor operating examination prior to hire
Keep the trailer yard organized and clean
10% of the tractor operator tasks are physical which is maintenance on tractor such as washing and cleaning
90% of the tractor operator tasks is driving trailers in the yard to be organized
Work schedule general hours are 6am-3pm M-Thurs and 6am-12pm on Friday. Schedule is subject to change depending on load demands.
Due to production demands, staffing shortages, or business needs, employees may be required to work overtime. Refusal to work mandatory overtime without prior approval may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
The company will strive to provide reasonable notice of required overtime.
However, in urgent or emergency situations, immediate overtime may be necessary without prior notice.
