We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical problemsPerform repairs and maintenance on light trucks, compactors, and recycling equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs include but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, brake systems, transmissions, electrical systems, engines, balers, and compactorsRepair or replace parts, such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearingsOverhaul or replace blowers, generators, distributors, starters, and pumpsRead and interpret VCRs (vehicle condition reports) and repair orders, communicate with supervisor and equipment operators to clarify problems, and discuss preventive techniques with equipment users and vehicle drivers to minimize future repairsComplete paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for applied times (work order times versus time card times)Repair and install plumbing and electrical-related items to hydraulic systemsFollows all safety policies and proceduresPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequirementsThe equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair OR 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repairValid driver's licenseAbility to handle tools and equipment with fine motor skillsAbility to reach with hands and armsAbility to climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feetOccasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbsGet Your Career Started with WIN Waste Innovations - Apply Today!WIN Waste Innovations is an Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to , , , , , status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.
