For this role, we're seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help build the safest communications platform on the planet.Our ProductOur task is to build a communication and collaboration platform solving for the somewhat opposing goals of (1) providing corporate and other teams increased productivity and (2) ensuring communication remains secure and private. We achieve this going a step beyond E2EE since group colloboration requires end to ends encryption. We take care to ensure everyone who joins our team is awesome to work with, loves what he/she/ze does, contributes to our mission, and enjoys his/her/zir time with us.We're a global SaaS company offering communication and productivity applications tailored for---but not limited to--specialized, highly secure, regulated markets, e.g. law enforcement, counter-terrorism, healthcare, finance, etc. Our full team is entirely remote with members in New Zealand, Pennsylvania, Montana, Georgia, and Texas.Responsibilities:As a Full Stack Engineer, you will:Take on various engineering, design, QA, and support-related tasks spanning the full range of our tech stack,Contribute to the ongoing design, maintenance, and iteration/evolution of the platform,Collaborate on and contribute to product design and system architecture as the platform evolves with our users, with the state-of-the-art, and with our vision, andTake initiative to define and prioritize your tasks in accordance with our shared goals and vision.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and1+ years of engineering work experience.Experience developing highly performant code in Javascript / TypescriptA disciplined approach to development, testing, documentation, and code structureRock solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms and programming languagesComfort working and collaborating with remote teamsGood feel for UI/UXBring your own Mac (Book, Pro, Studio, Mini)Some workday overlap with America/New_YorkPreferred:Experience meeting and conforming to compliance standards: HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC-2, ISO 27001, FIPS-140, etcPassion for cryptography and securityExperience with Swift and/or KotlinDevOps experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and AWSThe Good StuffAs we're still a new-ish company, we're still working on the perks.
