Details Night shift position: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12 schedule 42-bed surgical unit serving post-operative and medical overflow patients, including ortho, neuro, and general surgery cases Patient ratio of 5-6:1 Equipment includes Alaris infusion pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing systems EMR: Epic Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Occasional floating to like units within scope, including other Orlando Health facilities within a 25-mile radius Requirements Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification (AHA only — American Red Cross not accepted) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or acute care RN experience Experience with post-operative assessments, pain management, and wound and drain care SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Responsible for post-operative assessments, pain management, and wound and drain care for surgical and medical overflow patients Scrub color: Navy blue; fleece is not permitted Skills checklist for Med/Surg required 13-week contract based in Birmingham, AL American Traveler Job ID P-683358.
