About the role
We are looking for a Senior of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to join our extremely high growth, NASDAQ-listed company in the Bitcoin mining industry. This is a high visibility role where you will be interacting with all levels of personnel within the company and will report to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. This is a hybrid position based out of our Castle Rock, CO office.
Essential Functions
Act as a key member of the SEC reporting team, supporting the preparation of quarterly Form 10-K/10-Q filings and other SEC filings as necessary
Interact with internal/cross functional groups and external auditors to support the SEC filings preparation process
Oversee the utilization of our SEC reporting software
Assist with technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation related to significant and complex accounting matters
Support and ensure effective controls around SEC reporting and technical accounting processes
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient technical accounting skills and thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Experience with the preparation or review of SEC reporting filings
Experience with SEC reporting software (Workiva or Merrill Bridge) preferred
Experience with the adoption of new accounting standards
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting
CPA and/or public accounting experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant reporting and accounting in public accounting and/or in the accounting department of a public company.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is $100k - $125k, commensurate with experience
