CITY ADMINISTRATOR/RECORDERSalary Range: Hourly, depends on experienceRecruitment Opens: April 29, 2026First Review: May 22, 2026Position Open Until FilledThe City of Maywood Park has an opening for an Exempt, Part-Time City Administrator/Recorder position working up to 30 hours per week. Statement of Duties: The City Administrator/Recorder serves at the pleasure of the City Council and is responsible for the City of Maywood Park’s city administration. Provides administrative, operational, and governance support to the City Council and municipal organization. Coordinates public meetings, agendas, minutes, elections, and official filings in compliance with Oregon public meetings and public records laws. Manages City records, contracts, agreements, and records retention; responds to resident inquiries; and coordinates vendors and maintenance activities. Supports day-to-day municipal operations, monitors code compliance issues, and represents City interests with external stakeholders as needed. Exercises limited discretionary and spending authority to implement City Council policies and may execute authorized documents within established limits. Attends all City Council meetings and maintains regular public office hours.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public administration or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and administrative experience.At least 2 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in a municipal, public sector, or governance-focused environment.Knowledge of public meetings and public records requirements (Oregon experience preferred), records management, retention practices, and document handling. basic contract administration and administrative procedures. municipal operations and governmental processes.Benefits:The City offers a base salary plus limited benefits package including paid vacation and holidays, retirement program contribution and health insurance allowance.
