As a Project Engineer, you'll be at the center of the action - managing crane, service, and mechanical handling projects from inquiry through close-out. You'll wear both a project management and design hat, working across a talented technical team and engaging directly with clients.What You'll DoLead end-to-end project engineering: proposals, scoping, estimating, planning, execution, and close-outPrepare and submit RFQ bid proposals and technical/commercial proposals for clientsManage project financials, BOM preparation, procurement follow-up, and workpack developmentDrive design project management, including engineering calculations, drawings, method statements, and implementation proceduresConduct site and offshore surveys and produce detailed reportsCollaborate across the Technical Group to hit milestones and keep clients informedMaintain engineering registers, project files, and time-writing records with precisionWhat You BringEducation:Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil EngineeringExperience:0-5+ years in a relevant engineering or project roleSolid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systemsFamiliarity with cranes and/or mechanical handling equipmentWorking knowledge of engineering standards (API, AISC, ASTM, AWS, SAE)Strong technical report writing and communication skillsProven ability to juggle multiple projects and work both independently and collaborativelyExperience in customer-facing or client liaison environments is a plusSafety Is Non-NegotiableAt Altrad Sparrows, safety isn't a checkbox - it's a core value.
