Not to exceed 89 days.Duties:Under the general supervision of the Student Development Coordinator of the Kipuka Native Hawaiian Student Center, plan and coordinate Title III Paieie Activity 2 initiatives for UH Hilo and Hawaii CC students through the UH Hilo Edith Kanakaole Hawaiian Collection.Develop and facilitate student workshops, cultural engagement programs, and instructional collaborations that integrate Indigenous knowledge systems across disciplines.Conduct, coordinate, and evaluate student success and development activities with a focus on student engagement and persistence.Oversee and maintain data collection for student participants.Work in multiple work settings and maintain a variable work schedule as required.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Possession of a baccalaureate degree in any field from an accredited university and 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for providing library and/or information services; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.Demonstrated knowledge of the Hawaiian culture, values, and Indigenous knowledge systems.Demonstrated knowledge of UH Hilo programs and services.Previous experience working in a higher education institution.Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing softwareAny equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.Desirable Qualifications:* Fluency in the Hawaiian languageTo Apply: Click on the "Apply" button on the top right corner of the screen to complete an application and attach the required documents.
