License: Current state license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Certifications: Current BLS/HCP certification. Must-Have: Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear medicine physics, radiopharmaceutical administration, safety protocols, and equipment operation. Strong critical thinking and communication skills. Description: This role offers a unique opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist seeking an independent practice environment with strong support from within a health system. It is a single-tech site that allows for independent work while maintaining access to system-wide resources and expertise. The position involves preparing patients for Nuclear Medicine studies and performing high-quality diagnostic scans in accordance with established standards, procedures, and protocols. The technologist will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, reporting issues as needed. Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the work area is essential, along with providing coverage as needed. Participation in teaching and instructional activities may be required. The role may involve caring for patients of all ages, requiring the ability to respond appropriately to varying developmental and clinical needs. Essential physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying up to 30 lbs. The position may require pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs and involves repetitive wrist and arm movements. Occasional physical activities may include kneeling, squatting, twisting, and reaching at various levels. Operative tasks include using dose calibrators, gamma cameras, survey meters, well counters, thyroid uptake probes, and computers. Working conditions entail minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions, and there may be potential exposure to communicable diseases, chemicals, radioactive materials, and radiation. Required personal protective equipment includes OR gowns, masks, gloves, and leaded protective equipment. Note: This position does not require on-call, weekend, or holiday work.
