Our Summerville, SC office continues to grow, and we are seeking motivated Mechanical Engineering students to join our team for the summer.Description CEMS is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support HVAC and building systems design on active projects. Interns will work closely with licensed engineers and gain hands-on experience in both design and field coordination.This position is ideal for students interested in real-world application of mechanical engineering principles, not just classroom theory.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with HVAC system layouts and calculations.Support energy modeling and load analysis (Trane TRACE / Carrier HAP)Review drawings and specifications under engineer supervision.Participate in site visits and commissioning activities as available.Learn Revit MEP modeling and coordination workflows.Minimum QualificationsEnrolled in BS Mechanical Engineering program.Junior or Senior standingStrong interest in building systems and thermal-fluid sciencesPreferred / Nice To HaveRevit MEP exposureCoursework in fluids and/or thermodynamicsInterest in commissioning or sustainabilityWhy Join CEMSHands-on engineering experience on real projectsMentorship from licensed Professional EngineersExposure to federal and municipal workOpportunity to transition into a full-time role after graduation.DurationSummer (flexible start/end dates)
