Lighting Controls Field Technician

Based in Irvine, this role takes you across LA, Orange County, and the Inland Empire to commission cutting-edge lighting control systems and provide critical on-site support.We’re looking for a problem-solver with technical know-how and strong interpersonal skills, who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive, expert-driven team.What You’ll do in this Role:Commission advanced lighting control systems in commercial and industrial environments.Deliver on-site training and tech support to contractors, engineers, and end users.Offer guidance on system architecture during pre-wire meetings.Provide programming and remote system setup from our Irvine office.Serve as a technical resource for electrical contractors and distributors.Qualifications:Field work as an electrical contractor is a plus but not required.2+ years of related work experience. Working knowledge of wireless protocols like BLE (802.15.1), Zigbee (802.15.4), and Wi-Fi (802.11) is a plus.Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, system schematics, and technical documentation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).Familiarity with Bluebeam and AutoCAD is a plus.Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel to project sites.Why Join SCI?Work creatively and independently with the support of SCI's strong internal team and manufacturer partners.Join a collaborative culture that values sales excellence, strategic thinking, innovation, and professional growth.
