Our Indiana public sector client is leading a multi-year, federally funded rural health transformation initiative focused on strengthening healthcare delivery, workforce capacity, and health outcomes across the state. This effort supports system-wide innovation, regional collaboration, infrastructure development, and expanded access to care for underserved and rural communities.
This role contributes directly to statewide transformation efforts aimed at improving care coordination, integrating services across the health system, and driving sustainable, equitable health outcomes in underserved regions.
Description of Duties:
The Program Director will lead coordination and oversight of rural collaboration and clinical preceptorship initiatives designed to strengthen workforce development and clinical training capacity across rural communities.
Responsibilities include:
Leading implementation of workforce development and clinical training initiatives
Coordinating collaboration between healthcare providers, training institutions, and community partners
Overseeing program planning, execution, and performance tracking
Supporting grant-funded program administration and compliance activities
Managing timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements
Facilitating multi-stakeholder coordination to strengthen clinical training and preceptorship pathways
Desired Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in workforce development, grant management, or project management
Experience supporting clinical training, workforce development, or healthcare program administration
Strong organizational and program leadership skills
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Working Schedule and Travel:
Hybrid – Indianapolis (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)
Periodic statewide travel
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, workforce development, business administration, or related field
