Diesel Mechanic

Doetsch Environmental Services, a 120-year-old environmental contractor based in Warren, Michigan, tackles oil spills, hazardous waste, solid waste, and sewer line backups on a daily basis. The company offers professional cleaning services for wet and dry materials, located above or below ground, to municipalities, manufacturing facilities, power plants, foundries, chemical plants, and refineries. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Diesel Mechanic at our Warren, MI location. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing regular vehicle maintenance, conducting equipment upkeep, and executing preventive maintenance on a wide range of heavy machinery. The role involves diagnosing and performing repairs on diesel engines and maintaining records of all maintenance and repairs. Qualifications Skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment MaintenanceProficiency in Diesel Mechanics and working with Heavy EquipmentExperience with Preventive Maintenance practicesStrong problem-solving and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCertification or training in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferredPrevious experience in an industrial or environmental services setting is a plus
