We aim to bring these values to life every day with all that we do, and we believe that what we do matter - to patients, to their families, and to their communities.As Senior Director, you will report to the SVP of Commercial Strategy and Operations and will be responsible for the early commercial strategy, opportunity assessment and competitive analysis to support emerging gene therapies, and technologies. You will be responsible for providing commercial leadership on projects from pre-clinical through proof of concept and early new product planning with a clear line of sight towards commercialization and will partner closely with R&D, Corporate Development, Business Development, and other relevant cross functional leaders/teams on therapeutic area strategy and to provide commercial assessments of external opportunities, and/or to help support discussion on applying REGENXBIO technologies to potential external partnerships. Further, you will work closely with R&D, Program Management, Clinical Development, Business Development, Medical and commercial functions to drive the early strategic analysis and approach to REGENXBIO programs. This is an opportunity to help shape the strategy to deliver potentially transformational care to patients.Lead commercial assessments of potential therapeutic targets and programs; provides analyses and decision making frameworks to guide the company's portfolio activities in maximizing NAV technology and advancing subsequent gene therapy pipelineLead gene therapy opportunity assessments to inform business development, target selection, and pipeline investment decisions; works with R&D, clinical, program management, finance, IP/legal and commercial colleagues to articulate feasibility and attractiveness-based business cases to inform portfolio prioritization; responsible for defining market potential and ROI of potential portfolio investment areas; Defines portfolio evolution timelines and trade offsConduct and refine market assessments to gain a clear understanding of current and future unmet needs and market dynamicsLead the development of target product profiles for early stage R&D programs, based on thorough understanding of market dynamics and potential future trendsUnderstand and communicate requirements for registration, reimbursement, genetic diagnosis and differentiation required for the successful commercialization of new REGENXBIO productsTranslate key insights from scientific experts (internal R&D colleagues and external opinion leaders) into clear, actionable strategies for the franchise/sLeads competitive intelligence and business intelligence activitiesPartner with commercial operations and manufacturing to develop integrated forecasts and market potential assessmentsContribute to the long-term commercial strategy and ensure early R&D activities are in-line with global franchise strategiesCoordinate and ensure long term success of gene therapy global launches for existing and new products/indicationsResponsible for market research activities and managing qualitative and quantitative market research vendor relationshipsProvides input to the commercial/ launch planning team on the infrastructure aspects most critical for success of subsequent pipeline assets beyond lead productsTravel up to 50% of the time is requiredIt is imperative that REGENXBIO employees embody our core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships and using clear communication to meet shared objectives.We set our employees up for success.
