Field Supervisor - Carpentry

Our mission is to continually improve and set new standards for excellence in construction, today and for the future.Position OverviewAvsar Construction is seeking a highly skilled Field Supervisor – Carpentry to support facility condition assessment and construction evaluation efforts. This role requires a professional with strong hands-on construction expertise, keen observational skills, and the ability to assess building systems and structural components in field environments.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and collect building component data across multiple sitesInput and manage data using tablets, laptops, and other digital toolsAnalyze construction systems, including those concealed behind walls, ceilings, and flooringEvaluate the condition and remaining service life of building componentsCollaborate with cross-functional trade teams to gather measurements and site dataConduct site surveys and support special assessment projects as neededSupervise staff and survey teams when required and act as a technical resourceMinimum QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related fieldORMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience (degree substitution allowed on a year-for-year basis)Experience:At least 6 years of full-time professional experience working with:Construction management teamsFacility or campus environmentsStakeholders such as administrators and operational staffPreferred Candidate ProfileStrong background in carpentry and building systemsProven ability to assess infrastructure condition and lifecycleExperience leading or supervising field teamsComfortable working in active construction or facility environmentsStrong analytical and documentation skillsBenefits401(k) retirement planComprehensive Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision)Paid Time Off for personal and vacation daysPlease note that we are only able to interview candidates that meet the minimum requirements of the role.
