Role: Regional QA LeadLocation: USExperience: 10Job DescriptionA Quality Assurance Lead reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for leading multiple QA teams/projects and be hands-on at the same time. You will work closely with Engineering and Product teams to create QA strategies and test plans, identify and troubleshoot defects, and will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our testing processes and standards.The right candidate has strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, is self-driven, detailed while clear and concise, and focused on consistency and standardization while embracing change in an iterative, ever-evolving organization. This role will require the candidate to implement the appropriate automation techniques to meet the short and long-term goals of the engineering organization with accuracy.Skill Set RequiredQuality assurance expertise 3 years of minimum leading QA teams and 10 years of hands-on testing experience in manual and automation testing. Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans. Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development. Experience with API testing.Technical experience - Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, Python and must have the tools knowledge (section below)Analytical skills Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.Attention to detail Being detail oriented is required as they test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems.Interpersonal & Communication skills Good interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Need strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering and leadership teams.Tools KnowledgeAutomation tools - Playwright, SeleniumMobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS.Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Bit bucket, GithubJIRA Defect tracking and task creation toolConfluence, Share PointAny Test Management toolCI/CD QA automation - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for automation workflows.ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Reporting 70%Document & implement overall testing strategy including Automation strategy for the teamDefine, implement & monitor testing processes for all phases of testing cycleDevelop milestones, test plans and publish reportsIdentify automation opportunities and actively champion to increase automation coverage/shift leftOnboard QA team and provide trainingsRepresent QA in all forums & act as focal point of contact for the testing teamMonitor performance of the team while looking and improving ways of workingPartner closely with engineering and product leads and collaborate on finding efficiencies and identifying areas of improvementExecution 30%Actively participate in planning and strategy meetings for key initiativesWork with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution especially for strategic initiativesAnalyze requirements, use cases, design docs etc. and provide inputs from a testing point of viewCreate test plans for strategic initiativesCreate, execute and review test cases for strategic initiativesCreates and maintains automation tests and contributes to automation frameworkLog, review and triage defects for strategic initiativesHelp Prod issues/live site testing when neededOther Qualifications And CertificationsExperience in ecommerce applications is preferredWork experience with offshore/nearshore/onshore model is a mustExperience With Scrum Is PreferredFamiliarity with Elixir and the Phoenix framework is preferred.Key MeasurementThe success of the role will be measured by the delivery of projects to time and quality and the efficient communication, management and support.Job CircumstancesBe willing to work extended hours as required by the role and be available to occasionally implement systems out of business hours.
