Billing Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims. Duties - Review and process medical claims for billing purposes - Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility - Utilize medical coding systems such as ICD-10, ICD-9 for accurate claim submissions - Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information - Collaborate with the medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies Skills - Proficiency in medical terminology and coding procedures - Experience with medical billing systems and software - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Knowledge of medical collection practices - Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Work Location: In person
