Location: Pan Mine, Ely Nevada
Schedule: 10-hour Days, 4 days a week
Compensation: $30.00 to $45.00 (DOE and skill level)

Reports to: Chief Mine Engineer
Mining Americas Inc. is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Surveyor to join our Mine Engineering team at our surface gold mining operation. Whether you are beginning your career in surveying or have several years of experience, this position offers the opportunity to work with modern surveying technology while contributing directly to the success of our mining operations.
As a surveyor, you will collect and manage accurate survey data to support mine planning, production, ore control, and construction activities. Working alongside engineers, geologists, and operations personnel, you'll help ensure mining progresses safely, efficiently, and according to design. This position is for those of you who enjoy the outdoors and not sitting behind a desk, as it is a physically demanding position.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily field surveys to support mining operations and production activities
Collect grade shots and complete ore control stakeouts
Establish and maintain survey control using GPS, drones, total stations, and survey software
Survey haul roads, drill patterns, dumps, crest and toe lines, and other mining infrastructure
Assist Mine Engineering with production, planning, and construction projects
Identify and communicate field discrepancies affecting mining operations
Maintain survey equipment and ensure data accuracy
Work safely around heavy mobile equipment while following all site safety standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver's license required
Previous surveying experience in mining or heavy industry preferred. Entry-level candidates with relevant education, internships, or technical training are encouraged to apply
Knowledge of GPS, drone technology, survey equipment, and survey software is preferred
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is a plus
Strong mathematical, computer, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced mining environment
