This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances while following strict safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Setup & Programming Load raw materials and secure workpieces in CNC machines Install and change cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments Set machine parameters including offsets, feeds, and speeds Input, edit, or verify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software Machine Operation Operate CNC milling and/or lathe machines to perform drilling, milling, grinding, and cutting operations Monitor machine performance during production and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality Troubleshoot basic machine or tooling issues Quality Control Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Verify parts meet blueprint specifications, tolerances, and quality standards Identify and report nonconforming parts or defects Maintenance & Safety Perform daily machine inspections and routine cleaning Remove chips, lubricate components, and complete light preventative maintenance Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area Documentation & Communication Record production data, inspection results, and job progress Communicate issues related to quality, tooling, or scheduling to supervisors Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Basic math skills and knowledge of machining calculations Experience operating CNC software and controls Proficiency using precision measuring instruments Mechanical & Professional Skills Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes High attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset Effective communication and teamwork skills Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing or production floor Requires standing for extended periods Involves lifting materials and operating complex industrial machinery Benefits Don't miss this chance to enhance your experience in a production environment while enjoying competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
