Full Stack Developer - Python & AWS
Location: Downtown Houston, TXWork Arrangement: 100% Onsite - 5 Days/WeekContract: 6+ MonthsExperience: Minimum 8 YearsJob OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer - Python & AWS to join our team on a 6+ month contract.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python, full stack development, and AWS, with a proven ability to develop custom applications and work across the full software development lifecycle. The candidate should also be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and build quick proof-of-concepts (POCs).This is a fully onsite position in Downtown Houston, TX. Candidates must be available to work onsite 5 days a week.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain custom full-stack applications.Develop scalable and reliable backend applications and APIs using Python.Build and integrate frontend applications with backend services.Design, deploy, and manage applications and services on AWS.Work with AWS services to develop secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.Develop quick proof-of-concepts (POCs) using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot.Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate application development, prototyping, debugging, and code generation.Evaluate and implement suitable approaches for rapidly validating new application ideas and technical solutions.Participate in application architecture, technical design, development, testing, and deployment.Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services.Troubleshoot and resolve application and cloud-related issues.Collaborate with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Follow software development best practices for code quality, testing, security, and deployment.Required QualificationsMinimum 8 years of professional software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Python.Strong hands-on experience with AWS.Solid experience in Full Stack Development.Experience developing and deploying custom applications.Strong understanding of REST APIs and application integrations.Experience with frontend and backend technologies.Experience working with cloud-based applications and services.Ability to use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools for rapid POC development.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with multiple cloud platforms, with strong emphasis on AWS.Experience using AI tools to accelerate software development and technical POCs.Experience with Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI coding assistants.Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated deployment.Experience with modern application architecture and cloud-native development.Work LocationDowntown Houston, TXThis position is 100% onsite, 5 days per week.Contract6+ Months
