Required Education High school or diploma or equivalent; some college preferred; Manufacturing background, preferred in textile or automotive industry Fork lift driving license Required Experience Practical knowledge in manufacturing, shift leadership and job safety regulations Experience with quality manufacturing Special Knowledge & Skills Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization Leadership and team building abilities Manufacturing based and shop floor management skills Basic knowledge in textile engineering Basic knowledge of automotive requirements such as FMEA, MSA Basic knowledge of quality tools and systems such as 8D methodology, lean management and 6 sigma High commitment & flexibility MS office experience especially (Excel and Outlook). Must be able to stand or walk (90% of the day) and consistently reach, bend, and move inside the facility to move product. Authority & Responsibility Responsible for the production and the quality of the products within the shift Responsible for the documentation of product and process performance according to quality management specifications Responsible for utilization of staff within the shift Responsible for the adherence of environmental and job safety regulations Responsible for supporting production to the extent of running a machine when an employee is absent, and supporting on the floor with cleaning, assisting in handling products, helping out at work stations etc. Responsible for Leads by example sets expectations for staff and monitors delegated activities. Coordinates and monitors flow of production orders for the floor; able to forecast work and notice potential problems in the workflow. Tasks & Activities Environment and Safety Monitoring and supervise the safety instructions Responsible to ensure safety equipment at machines and PPE is used Monitoring and reporting on safety and environmental issues via Production Manager to CEO Monitoring correct storage of chemicals and dangerous goods Monitoring correct storage of material in warehouse Ensure all procedures are followed to minimize any safety or environmental risks Personnel Responsible for the housekeeping and tidiness of the manufacturing side Briefing and advising operators in adherence to company policies of safety, environmental behavior and handling dangerous goods Responsible for briefing and advising operators in regards of handling of machinery, processes and fabrics Supervisor of the last shift is responsible for shut down of all machines and switch off lights, air pressure, water and secure the building Responsible to report personnel issues to Production Manager · Responsible for allocation of personnel · Responsible to ensure overtime is managed within company guidelines · Responsible for enforcing the company policies attendance, cell phones, break schedules, etc. Production · Responsible for adherence to process settings, procedures and feedback to Production Manager if deviations occur · Responsible for the availability of fabric, chemicals and tools at machines · Responsible for organize transportation to the next workstation · Responsible for produced quality and given deadlines of the scheduled program · Responsible for a proper reporting in the shift diary, machine books and BABTEC · Record and pass forward repairs request to maintenance department · Monitor maintenance, repairs and cleaning is to acceptable standards and time frames · Attend or conduct a 15 min supervisor shift change meeting Check machine setting parameters on a daily basis and document results in Checklist Work Remotely No Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Paid training Vision insurance Shift: 8 hour shift Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Manufacturing: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: Forklift License (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Overnight Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed Ability to Commute: Auburn, AL 36830 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Auburn, AL 36830: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
