Gastroenterology Physician - Onsite VA Clinic (Locum/Contract Position) Finger Lakes Health Care System - Rochester, NY Rochester Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)260 Calkins Rd, Rochester, NY 14623 Position OverviewGoldfish Medical Staffing is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist (Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology) to provide onsite outpatient GI services for Veterans at the VA Finger Lakes Health Care System's Rochester CBOC.This is a full-time, onsite opportunity delivering GI consults, procedures, and follow-up care in a stable, predictable clinic environment-NO call, NO nights, NO weekends.This role is perfect for GI physicians who value work-life balance, consistent daytime clinic hours, and the opportunity to serve our nation's Veterans. Duties & Responsibilities The Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive outpatient GI services including, but not limited to:GI consultations & follow-up visitsColonoscopy (diagnostic +/- biopsy, polypectomy, snare removal, ablation, control of bleeding, via colostomy)Flexible sigmoidoscopy (with biopsy/snare/ablation)PEG tube replacementEGD (diagnostic, biopsies, snare removal, control of bleeding, dilation)Timely completion of clinical documentation in CPRS/VistADischarge planning, education, and coordination of follow-up careBedside consults for non-ambulatory patients as requiredParticipation in quality improvement activities as designated by the facility
