Controller (42421)Our client is an organization in the Fox Valley area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience, non-profit experience, and highly organized and detailed-oriented.The salary range for this position is $75k-90k.The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Reporting & Close ProcessOversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingPrepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAPAnalyze financial results and provide insights to leadership on key trends and variancesMaintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accountsManage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accountingReview and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting estimatesEnsure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and properly supportedMaintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentationEstablish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assetsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policiesSupport regulatory and tax filings in collaboration with external advisorsAssist with the development of annual budgets and forecastsMonitor actual performance against budget and explain variancesProvide financial analysis to support strategic decision-makingThe Controller will possess the following:EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required3+ years of accounting experienceNon-profit experience strongly preferredDetail-oriented and highly organizedStrong analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEqual Opportunity EmployerThe compensation philosophy reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting.
