Role: Data EngineerLocation: Houston, TX (onsite only)Contract RoleRole Overview: The Data Engineer focuses on building and maintaining data platforms, data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, and cloud-based solutions that support Client's energy industry software products.Mandatory Skills5+ years of relevant software/data engineering experience.Oil And Gas Experience PreferredPythonSQLData ModelingETL/Data Pipeline EngineeringAI/ML FrameworksCloud Platforms (Azure/AWS)Software Development fundamentalsSystem Design and ArchitectureFull-stack exposure (Angular/Node.js preferred)Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.Develop and manage end-to-end AI/ML pipelines.Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality initiatives.Design and deploy cloud-native data and AI solutions.Implement LLM and Generative AI solutions, including:Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Vector databases/searchPrompt orchestration pipelinesEnsure data governance, security, and responsible AI practices.Monitor production systems for reliability, performance, and scalability.Participate in architecture decisions for enterprise-scale platforms.EducationBachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
