We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Field Safety Coordinator to join our growing team in Wilson, North Carolina.Position OverviewThe Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and implementing safety programs on-site throughout North Carolina. This role ensures compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, promotes safe work practices, and conducts safety inspections and training to minimize risks for all field operations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular safety inspections and audits at job sites.Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.Lead safety training and orientation sessions for field staff.Maintain and enforce OSHA, company, and client safety policies.Document safety incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.Report on safety performance and contribute to safety improvement initiatives.Collaborate with field supervisors and project managers to ensure safe work environments.Participate in safety meetings and provide input on safety planning.Maintain safety equipment and supplies at job sites.Promote a safety-first culture among field teams.Required QualificationsAssociate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.At least 2 years of safety experience in construction, utilities, manufacturing, or similar industry.OSHA 30-hour training certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple job sites in North Carolina.Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or similar.Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.Spanish language proficiency.Previous safety coordination experience in North Carolina.Core Skills & CompetenciesRisk assessment and mitigationTraining facilitation and developmentCompliance monitoringProblem solving and decision-makingAttention to detailAdaptability and initiativeWorking ConditionsField-based role; frequent travel between job sites required.Exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.Safety equipment may be required.Flexible work hours depending on project needs.Application InstructionsInterested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter detailing relevant experience and qualifications.
