IVA Technician II

Summary The IVA Technician II is responsible for advanced pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly, including setting stops, limit switches, positioner setup, solenoid tubing, and testing. This role requires prior automated valve assembly experience, proficiency in mechanical skills, and a solid understanding of industry standards and codes. The technician will handle complex assembly tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and safety compliance.ResponsibilitiesAdvanced pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly (including tubing)setting stopssetting limit switches, positioner setup, solenoid tubing electric actuator valve assembly,setting torque, limit switches, and testing.Additionally, the IVA Technician II will handle more complex assembly tasks and troubleshooting. Positional Requirements & Qualifications Education & ExperiencePrior automated valve assembly experienceHigh School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years' industry experience Skills & Abilities Meets all Technician I qualifications and requirements outlined in the job descriptionSuccessful completion of Automated Valve Assembly Level II Written and Performance TestSuccessful completion of required training outlined in the technician certification programSuccessful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresProficient in valve assembly according to company standardsDemonstrated proficiency in lapping, testing, applicable codes, and standardsDemonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipmentFamiliar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valveDemonstrated proficiency in automated valve assembly testing, applicable codes, and standardsDemonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipmentIntermediate understanding of the importance of air supply pressureIntermediate understanding of input signals (3-15# and 4-20 mA)Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)Basic oral & written communication skillsAbility to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the company and demonstrate understanding of the field job processDemonstrate "can do" attitude and excellent customer service skillsFollow Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve assembly and testing processRecognition of missing partsProficient in valve repair according to company standardsIntermediate learning of various shop equipment (test stand, machining equipment, etc.)Moderate supervision requiredAbility to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelinesMust clear background check and drug/alcohol screening Essential Physical Functions: Lifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directionsLift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending, stooping, walking, and climbing stairsAscending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, rampsMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesRemaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingersOperating machinery and/or power toolsOperating motor vehicles or heavy equipmentAssessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assignedAble to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standardsRequired physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirementsAble to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
