Systems Engineer (Configuration Management) – ContractCompany: System OneLocation: Remote (U.S.) | Travel up to 25%Duration: Through 2026 with potential extension into 2027Schedule: 40 hours/weekPosition OverviewSystem One is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Configuration Management) to support advanced nuclear power plant design programs. This role will focus on implementing and improving product-based configuration management (CM) processes to ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance across complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead development and implementation of configuration management (CM) processesSupport product-based CM, including: Bills of materials (BOMs)Dataset traceabilityKPI developmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design processes and reduce riskEnhance and support change control processesPartner with PLM teams to implement improvements within Aras InnovatorEnsure compliance with: NQA-1ASMENRC regulationsISO 9001Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field10+ years of Configuration Management experienceStrong experience with: CM standards (CM2, EIA-649)Product structures & BOMsPLM systems (Aras Innovator preferred)Experience developing and implementing CM processes and proceduresBackground in highly regulated environments (NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B preferred)Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in nuclear or power generation industryConfiguration Management certification (CM2-C or similar)Familiarity with DOE regulations (10 CFR Part 810)Additional RequirementsAbility to travel up to 25%Must be authorized to work in the U.S.System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
