Catering and Conference Services Manager - Coeur d'Alene Resort
Job SummaryThe Catering & Conference Services Manager is responsible for driving catering revenue by securing new local business and expanding relationships with existing key accounts. This role actively manages inbound inquiries while also generating new opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking events, and direct sales efforts. The position plays a key role in developing and implementing innovative lead generation strategies and tools to improve lead quality and support continued sales growth. This role also assumes responsibility for servicing assigned conferences and events while continuing sales efforts. Duties include managing all event details such as menu selections, room setups, and preparation of banquet event orders, as well as clearly communicating client expectations to resort teams to ensure seamless and successful event execution. Essential FunctionsGenerate new catering and conference business through inbound lead management, outbound prospecting, networking events, and direct sales calls Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive repeat business and maximize revenue opportunities Create, coordinate, and execute all aspects of assigned events, including menu planning, room setups, and preparation of banquet event orders (BEOs) Communicate client expectations clearly with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution and a high level of guest satisfaction Utilize CRM systems, sales platforms, and event management tools effectively, demonstrating strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies Job Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of two years of food & beverage or catering experience Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills Highly organized with the ability to manage time, handle stress, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Goal-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Positive, enthusiastic, and service-driven professional with a commitment to delivering courteous, professional interactions with guests, clients, vendors, and team members
