Warehouse Lead

wObjectivewThe laboratory courier/lead is responsible for transporting specimens from physician offices, collection centers, and nursing homes to Labtech Diagnostics. The laboratory courier is an OSHA Category I employee and must adhere to the safety guidelines for this position. The laboratory courier is responsible for continuing education in Bloodborne Pathogens, HIPAA, and Leaks and Spills.WEssential FunctionswFollow laboratory policies and procedures for specimen handlingUse appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)Maintain good customer service etiquetteAdhere to a schedule for a specific routeCommunicate immediately when there is a customer problem or complaintAssure specimens picked up are labeled appropriatelyEnsure specimens are kept at the appropriate temperatureMaintain a current driver's license and active auto insurance policyOccasionally deliver supplies to officesPromptly ships outgoing orders placed by clients, offices, and remote employees and ensures the accuracy of the product shipped.Receives incoming orders and inventories product received.Organizes the warehouse and maintains a clean and clutter free environment.Prints labels for and properly packages FedEx and UPS shipments.Takes out trash such as boxes and clutter. Grounds keeping such has below leaves out of the parking lot. Taking the vehicles to be maintained. Performances vehicle checklists daily. Assists the Logistics Manager to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective movement of samples and routes.Help plan, coordinate, and monitor courier routes.Supervises, coaches, and trains Couriers.Directs workflow of couriers and assures communication between shifts.Providing administrative support, training, technical guidance, and supervision.Assures completion of stops by courier (s).Orients new staff to the logistics department and job-specific knowledge.Follow up with other couriers to stay on top of things like oil changes, tire rotations, and checking lights.wRequirementsw (education, physical demands, travel, hours, supervisory responsibility, etc)A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredA clean 10 year driving recordCurrent driver's license and insurance policyVisual and auditory acuteness Ability to sit for long periods and perform kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbsALL EMPLOYEES ARE EMPLOYEES AT-WILL AND ARE FREE TO LEAVE LABTECH DIAGNOSTICS AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON AT ALL.
