Role Description:
This is a full-time, in-office role for a Structural Design Engineer based in Birmingham, AL. The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis, developing engineering designs and drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional disciplines and leading small to medium sized Structural teams. This is a client-facing position, and some job-site presence is required.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in RISA or STAAD.Pro, and experience with Revit and AutoCADStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain Experience in sustainable design and industry regulations is a plus
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
