Command Robbinsville A state-of-the-art book manufacturing facility specializing in educational books, computer books, catalogs, annual reports, and directories. We are currently seeking a Press Operator to join our growing team in a temp-to-permanent role. This position offers the opportunity to grow with the company and transition into a permanent employee based on performance, attendance, and business needs. A qualified Press Operator should be able to perform the following tasks:Operate the offset press efficiently and effectivelyWork on offline machines to assist in various printing tasksFollow production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasksMaintain quality control by checking colors, alignment, and print qualityCollaborate with team members to ensure smooth production processesPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipmentAssist in training new team members on press operationsWeb press experience preferred, including combination folder experienceAbility to manage a crew of up to three employees within a fast-paced production scheduleTroubleshoot press and quality-related issues and take appropriate corrective actionAssist the Press Room Manager with departmental duties as needed Requirements:Strong mechanical skillsAbility to work well with others while supervising and training crew membersReliable with consistent attendance and punctualityExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesPositive and effective communication skillsSafety and quality mindedBasic computer skillsAvailable to work overtime when neededAbility to work with minimal supervision and contribute independently Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredPrevious print industry experience preferredExperience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidateStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work extended hours and weekends based on production needsAbility to lift 50 lbs. or more unassistedFrequent standing and walking, with occasional stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouchingSuccessful candidates follow directions, ask questions, are energetic, and maintain a positive, can-do attitude Benefits Upon Permanent Hire:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany-paid life insurancePaid Time OffCompany-paid holidays401(k) with company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee recognition programsAnd more!
