Workforce Development and Training Facilitator (Part Time)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and compassionate individual to serve in a training and support capacity for justice-involved individuals, with a strong focus on youth and young adults. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about workforce development, education, and second-chance opportunities, and who thrives in building meaningful connections that lead to long-term success.
The Workforce Development & Training Facilitator will provide guidance, training, and mentorship to participants as they prepare for educational pathways, skilled trades, and sustainable employment. This position plays a critical role in equipping participants with practical tools, workplace readiness skills, and the confidence needed to succeed in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate engaging training sessions focused on employability skills, career readiness, and personal development
Support justice-involved individuals in navigating educational, trade, and employment pathways
Build trusting relationships with participants, encouraging accountability, growth, and resilience
Communicate clearly and consistently with participants, staff, and partner organizations
Serve as a positive role model, particularly for young people, through professionalism and empathy
Track participation, progress, and outcomes as required
Qualifications & Skills
Comfortable working with justice-involved individuals and diverse populations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to connect authentically with young people
Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent availability (15–20 hours weekly)
Experience in training, coaching, mentoring, workforce development, education, or social services is preferred
Ability to facilitate group discussions and one-on-one support sessions
Patience, cultural awareness, and a strengths-based approach to participant engagement
