This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who thrives on building systems, not just maintaining them.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced hands-on Accounting Controller, not a supervisory-only seat. You'll own the full accounting cycle end-to-end and play a critical role in standardizing processes, strengthening financial controls, and ensuring our team uses our ERP system correctly and consistently.<Responsibilities>Full-cycle accounting: AR, AP, purchasing (PO), sales orders (SO), inventory management, GL, cash management, and financial reporting.Design and implementation of scalable accounting processes and procedures.Month-end and year-end close, financial statement preparation, and management reporting.Direct supervision and development of accounting and administrative staff.ERP system integrity — ensuring proper use across departments and training personnel where needed.QualificationsStrong working knowledge of GAAP and its practical application in a distribution or product-based environment.Proven experience as a hands-on Controller or Senior Accountant ready to step into the role.Background in operational accounting — you understand how transactions flow from purchase order to financial statement.Experience with Sage Intacct preferred; comparable ERP experience consideredA builder's mentality — you're energized by creating structures where little exists, not frustrated by it.Strong communication skills with the ability to translate accounting requirements to non-accounting staff.
