The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing long-term strategies that drive safety, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance across a wide geographic area. This executive-level role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, identifying and integrating new technologies, and leading a multi-layered team to ensure a culture of accountability and performance. The VP will also be responsible for championing a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing division-level budgets while focusing on productivity, fleet utilization, and profitability. Applicants for the Vice President of Hauling Operations position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, operations, or a related field, with an MBA being preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in hauling, transportation, or logistics, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of route operations, budgeting, and fleet management, and experience in unionized environments is a plus.
