Store Manager Trainee
Store Manager/Manager Trainee Responsibilities:
While training, you may travel between store locations. Locations will vary throughout Lane County.
The duties of a Store Manager/Trainee may vary however this list is a brief overview:
Store Managers supervise operation of the store, including opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation and scheduling clerks.
Control of the store money including register counts, safe deposits, change orders and oversees invoices, cash reports, time records, lottery and safety.
Analyzes inventory management, including ordering items, keeping stock, and liquidating stock and leveraging resources to avoid outs and overstock.
Maintaining operations through proper hiring and placement, scheduling of work assignments and delegation.
Ensures that store/grounds are clean and presentable; manages repair and maintenance; responds to emergencies.
Manages operations including strict compliance with any and all applicable laws and regulations, Dari Mart policies and procedures, including but not limited to the sale of alcohol, tobacco, fresh food, and grocery items.
Ensures staff has working knowledge of Point of Sale, checking in vendors, all opening and closing procedures.
Store Managers monitors and analyzes the customer service provided by their clerks. Offers training and develops action plans for improvement in sales.
Greets customers and offers assistance with products and services.
Models and shares customer service best practices with all employees.
Resolves customer complaints and helps respond to customers needs.
Trainees are assessed between their 3rd and 6th month for promotion to Store Manager.
Must be able to:
Work independently and in a team environment.
Oversee and supervise job duties of others.
Hold primary responsibility for store operations.
Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year management experience. Having experience in retail helpful, but not required. We will train
A valid Drivers License and transportation
Have creative problem-solving skills.
Be able to motivate others.
Have the ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test
