Senior Java Springboot Software Engineer
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Java Developer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be on site 4 days per week in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.What You'll Be Doing:Provides designs and specifies information systems solutions while offering highly technical direction in the development of new or existing applications to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements. Serves as a principal application designer for major modifications using analytical and technical expertise to evaluate client requirements and processes. Delivers technologically sound solutions while supporting day-to-day activities and special projects.Complete and oversee systems analysis, design, and development for basic to complex applicationsAct as a key individual contributor on complex projects while maintaining strong functional knowledge of supported applicationsDirect and coordinate development tasks for small to large scope projectsPrepare and manage technical components of project plansCollaborate with development, operations, and technology teams across the full SDLCPrepare, review, and execute detailed test plans and debugging activitiesAnalyze complex system relationships across applications and platformsProvide consulting and leadership on new technology solutions to meet business objectivesDevelop and maintain technical and functional documentationReview documentation and work produced by less experienced staffConduct project assessments including timelines and effort estimationEnsure efficient operation of supported applicationsRecommend new technologies, policies, and process improvementsParticipate in vendor software evaluationsMaintain understanding of supported business functions and strategic directionEnsure adherence to risk, regulatory, and internal control standardsIdentify and escalate risk-related issues as neededWhat You'll Need to Have:10+ years of Java development experienceJava 21 / Spring Boot 4.0Oracle DatabaseMicroservices architectureExperience working with business units and coordinating across teamsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with banking or enterprise application frameworksAdvanced understanding of integrated systems and applicationsAbility to work both independently and in team environmentsStrong multitasking ability across complex project componentsProactive, action-oriented mindsetPay Range: $65-74/hrQuestions about any of our jobs?
