Senior Network Engineer

About American CloudAmerican Cloud is a U.S.-based cloud and colocation provider building the infrastructure layer for businesses that refuse to be locked into Big Tech. We operate a full-stack cloud platform; compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and object storage engineered on Apache CloudStack, Ceph, and KVM, backed by carrier-grade Juniper, Arista, and Nokia switching and nearly a million IPv4 addresses under our own ASN.We're not a reseller. We're not running on someone else's hardware. Every layer of our stack from the bare metal to the control plane to the customer-facing API is something we built, own, and operate ourselves. That independence is the product. It's why customers ranging from emerging startups to Fortune 50 enterprise tenants trust us to host workloads that can't afford to ride on the whims of a hyperscaler. What we're buildingAmerican Cloud; A sovereign public cloud with VM compute, Kubernetes, S3-compatible A2 Object Storage, managed databases, DNS, and high-performance networking, priced to dramatically undercut AWS and Azure on equivalent workloads.OpenColo; Our colocation business, offering power, space, and connectivity to customers who want to bring their own iron into a serious facility.Premium network services; DDoS-mitigated transit, BGP peering, and L2 networking products. What's next; Hosted FaaS, AI inference infrastructure, managed AI agent platforms, and workload migration tooling for customers escaping AWS, Azure, and GCP.Who we're looking forWe hire engineers, operators, and builders who want to work on real infrastructure. Racks, switches, hypervisors, distributed storage, control planes, not abstractions five layers removed from the metal. The work is technically demanding and the stakes are real: when our customers' systems run on our platform, there's no upstream provider to blame. If you're energized by open-source infrastructure, want ownership over systems you can actually see and touch, and believe the cloud market needs a credible alternative to the three companies that currently dominate it, you'll find a home here.rm -rf bigtech.
