Senior Software Engineer (on-site in Omaha)

Concentric Corporation is currently seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer with government security clearance for our client for an on-site role in Omaha, NE. This Senior Software Engineer position is a mostly on-site position where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and securing software solutions. You will be responsible for leading technical decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and communicating complex development concepts to stakeholders across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. Communicate and justify key development decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure all development aligns with strict cyber-security protocols. Collaborate across teams to build scalable, efficient applications. Qualifications: 10+ years of programming experience (including time spent obtaining a CS degree). Ability to explain and justify complex development decisions to all stakeholders. Strong understanding of cyber-security principles. Government security clearance (or the ability to obtain one). Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Agile development methodologies. Expertise in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Proven experience designing and developing cloud applications. Familiarity with meteorological data systems and processing.
