Project Finance Specialist
Position: Project Controls Analyst Location: Louisa, VA (Onsite)Duration: Direct Hire / PermanentPlease Note: Must have General Contacting companies experience.About the job:As a Project Controls Analyst, you will serve as a trusted financial resource for construction projects and the primary liaison between operations and corporate finance. This highly visible and fast-paced position is charged with financial reporting, compliance, and processing responsibilities over projects ranging in size from $20 million to $1 billion in contract value.Responsibilities:This position will report directly to the Project Manager/Project Executive with input from the lead Project Controls Manager in the region. This individual will be in the middle of the action, working directly on our project sites and closely collaborating with our project team and trade partners.Basic Qualifications:Preferred degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related fields or similar relevant work experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsCareful attention to detail and reliability of outputAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environmentMust be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAlignment to Company Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, results oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient, builds relationships, builds people/teams and followership, sets direction and executesPreferred Qualifications:CPA or Accounting experienceExperience with SAP, Textura, Coupa, or Google platforms a plusHighly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skillsStrong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skillsProject Finance:Support monthly project financial forecast Prepare monthly cost reportsKey performance indicator monitoring Process innovation and improvementProject cash-flow monitoring and forecasting Change Order Monitoring & ReconciliationLead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reportingHave thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and understanding of all parties involvedSecure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractorsFacilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activityLead, train, and develop project team membersPrepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issuesLead project close-out of project, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractorsDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering and design firmsEstablish a deadline and monitor the progress of the projectDrive a culture of safety on the project site Support the company’s acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentationsProvide leadership to foster an environment of inclusion and diversity
