Position Title: Wrapper Operator
Wage: $18.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:45am - 2:00pm
The Wrapper Operator in Green Bay, WI is responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting the single-seal wrapper and heat tunnel to ensure finished pizza products are properly wrapped, sealed, and shrink-finished. Wrapper Operator Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor the single-seal wrapper used to package finished pizza products
Set up, operate, and adjust heat tunnel temperature, airflow, and conveyor speed to achieve proper shrink appearance and seal integrity
Load, thread, and replace packaging film as needed to maintain uninterrupted production
Monitor product flow through the wrapper and heat tunnel to prevent jams, product damage, or packaging defects
Inspect wrapped pizzas for seal quality, shrink appearance, product placement, and overall package integrity
Make real-time adjustments to wrapper and heat tunnel settings to maintain established quality standards
Identify, isolate, and report defective, damaged, or improperly wrapped products according to established procedures
Troubleshoot minor equipment and packaging issues; notify maintenance personnel of mechanical problems requiring repair
Accurately complete production, quality, downtime, and packaging-related documentation
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP requirements, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety policies
Communicate effectively with production, quality assurance, sanitation, and maintenance teams to support daily production goals
Assist with line changeovers, equipment cleaning, and startup/shutdown procedures as required
Requirements for Wrapper Operator:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience operating packaging equipment, wrappers, heat tunnels, or similar manufacturing machinery preferred
Experience working in a food manufacturing or food processing environment is a plus
Strong attention to detail with a focus on product quality and food safety
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines
Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation
Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to stand and work on a production line for extended periods
Ability to frequently use hands and arms to operate equipment and handle packaging materials
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to inspect package quality and equipment performance
Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
