Job Description
Active Physical Therapy is seeking a full time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. Candidates must possess a NYS license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Daily Notes:
· Utilize MEDNT EMR format
· Supervise, Progress, and Modify Therapeutic Exercise
· Document according to treatment (ROM, Strength, symptom changes, ADL's, etc.)
· Fill in treatment time and billing units according to treatment
· Sign daily notes in the electronic medical record
· Fill out ESB post visit
· Keep track of when patients follow up with Referring Physician
· Remind/ask when patients next PT appointment is
· Communicate with treating provider
· Communicate with front desk staff
Therapeutic treatments:
· Ultrasound
· E-stim
· Active Release Techniques
· Joint Mobilization
· Cupping
· Extracorporeal shock wave
· PROM/AAROM
· Kinesio taping
· IASTM
· Therapeutic Exercise
· Gait training
· Pulling HEP sheets with proper sets and reps to give to patients
· Teach/help patients maintain HEP
Other Responsibilities:
· Maintain filling cabinet of HEP sheets/ print and fill when needed
· Fill US gel bottles
· Tidy up clinic
· Disinfect treatment tables between patients
· Disinfect equipment (i.e. hand weights, ankle weights, exercise bike, etc.)
· Put clean towels away
· Gather up dirty towels and set laundry by exit at end of day
· Clean and tidy up waiting room (i.e. dust tables and chairs, straighten out magazines, etc.)
· Tidy kitchen (i.e. change trash, clean dishes, make coffee, etc)
· Track supply inventory and let Missy know when supplies need to be ordered
· And anything else not listed if needed
Assist front desk:
· Shifting patients to maximize schedule
· Scheduling patients if needed
· Marking patients as seen when finished with treatment
· Communicating to front desk if late patients can still be seen
· Answer phones (take message, or put patient on hold)
· Update daily patient list in clinic with changes throughout day
· Communicating with front desk on how far out to schedule patients (frequency and duration per PT recommendation)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
