This position is a full-time role that offers an exceptional benefits package!This position is designed and intended to be performed in Litchfield, CT.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFacility ManagementMaintain a high level of housekeeping and maintenance throughout the store, warehouse, pole buildings, equipment, vehicles and grounds and ensure a positive company imageProvide a safe and clean store environmentEnsure all equipment is operationalSales ManagementAdjust store and grounds layout to maximize utilization of selling areasOversee merchandise displays for sales efficiency, considering seasonal products and trafficCoordinate displays to coincide with advertisingIncrease traffic by creating in-store programs and company-provided promotionsProvide sales training and product knowledge to store personnelShop competitors for price structuringTest market new productsInventory ManagementOrder products using appropriate forms in accordance with Company policies and proceduresMaintain merchandise by adding or dropping lines or items indicated by turn numbersMaintain inventories at desired levels for maximum turnover and profitabilityOversee the handling of claims for damaged or returned goodsAccounting ManagementApprove all invoices for paymentEnsure all goods and services invoiced have been receivedMaintain security over daily cash and bank depositsOther duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's degree with 5 years of retail experience, 3 of which are in a supervisory capacity, OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of Retail Management experience, OR equivalent relevant experienceProven track record as a retail Store Manager with experience in leading and directing 3-5 teams of staffAgriculture background with management experience and excellent merchandising skills is a plusWorking knowledge of lawn and garden, agriculture, and animals (Pet and Livestock)Be an inspirational Manager, with a positive approach to running the businessDeliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalismExceptional oral and written communication skills with a high degree of attention to detailMust be able to multitaskJ-18808-Ljbffr
