For more information, visit corporate.carrier.com or follow on Carrier social media at @Carrier.About This RoleThis position is for a seasoned professional Project Manager in Commercial Mechanical Installation, who works independently, interacting with customers, supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for projects, oversee subcontractors, facilitates project tasks with various functional organizations, forecast project revenues, tracks progress and costs, identifies project problems, and recommends resolutions.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Project Manager is responsible for managing the installation of commercial HVAC equipment within various vertical markets, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactionsWork with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverablesThe Project Manager helps oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installationDevelops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts Work in Progress meetingsExpected to develop working knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS) systems; Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plusUnderstands and follows all published codes, standards, and unique project specificationsConveys a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and managementNegotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractorsAccurately forecast revenue each month as well as track costs by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed each month correctlyExecute all major functions required for project management, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project close-outManage the Change Order process, assuring that scope creep does not occurAssure that all projects will be managed to or exceed the percentage of booked project marginAssure that job safety is priority on every projectRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED2+ years project management in commercial HVAC Mechanical Equipment Installation1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office suitePreferred QualificationsBuilding automation or electrical installation or construction fieldMust be able to read blueprints, structural drawings and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documentsExperience and/or certification in BACnet; or LEED certificationPMP certification or working towards PMP CertificationAssociates Degree in engineering or project managementAbility to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlinesExceptional verbal and written communication skills, both with internal and external customersPay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.Other CompensationThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
