Physician Assistant (PA) Panama City, FL Full-Time | Exempt | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Schedule may vary based on clinic needs) About the Role PanCare of Florida is seeking a skilled, compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our primary care team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare to underserved and diverse communities. In this role, you will practice medicine in collaboration with supervising physicians while playing a vital role in improving access to care, promoting preventive health, and supporting chronic disease management. What You'll Do In this role, you will: Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform physical examinationsDiagnose conditions and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physiciansPrescribe medications in accordance with Florida statutes governing Physician AssistantsPerform minor procedures within scope of practice and physician authorizationOrder, review, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic studies (labs, imaging, EKGs, etc.)Coordinate referrals for specialty services not offered at the health centerProvide patient counseling, education, and preventive care servicesParticipate in outreach and off-site healthcare programs as assigned by the Medical DirectorSupervise students and trainees during clinical rotations as assignedComply with infection control policies, including universal precautions, and ensure adherence by support staffParticipate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and clinical committeesAssist with updating clinical protocols and standards of practiceParticipate in pharmacy-related activities as appropriateSupport outside medical public relations and community engagement effortsShare telephone call responsibilities with supervising physicians as requiredAdhere to UDS productivity standards and organizational performance expectationsParticipate in safety programs, including emergency response activitiesEngage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the clinical areaWhat Success Looks Like You will thrive in this role if you are: • Clinically confident in managing a broad scope of primary care needs • Patient-focused with strong communication and counseling skills • Collaborative and comfortable working within a physician-led care model • Organized, efficient, and consistent with documentation requirements • Committed to ethical practice, patient safety, and quality improvement • Passionate about serving underserved and community-based populations Required Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skillsProficiency in medication prescribing and treatment planningAbility to perform minor procedures safely and effectivelyExcellent patient education and communication skillsStrong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary care teamsKnowledge of HIPAA, regulatory compliance, and professional standardsAbility to manage complex cases in a fast-paced clinical environmentCommitment to culturally competent, patient-centered careEducation & Experience Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programActive, unrestricted Florida Physician Assistant licenseCurrent certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)Eligible for and insurable under professional malpractice coveragePrior primary care or community-based healthcare experience preferredExperience working in FQHC or underserved settings a plusPhysical Requirements This role requires: Prolonged standing and walking during clinic operationsManual dexterity for examinations and minor proceduresAbility to bend, reach, and assist patients as neededVisual and auditory acuity for patient assessments and documentationStamina to work in a busy clinical environmentParticipation in shared call coverage as requiredWhy Join PanCare?
